Mga MAKAKATING PAA at mga LAGALAG NA BATA....mana, rabas kita!!!

"I have one wish for my childrern - that they don't find the necessity to rally on the street because they see their government and their society not doing anything on crucial issues such as poverty, injustice, and global warming. I pray that their generation will not blame mine for not doing anything about these problems, rather I want them to see my generation as a role model to emulate that by the little things we did today we've done a big difference with their future..."

It's inspiring to see friends almost through with their journey to becoming a lawyer. The hardship they faced in law school is quite unimaginable perhaps for a non-law student. But for one who goes through the same ordeal, or even worse, surviving the bar exam really does inspire a lot of respect and admiration.

with my UP APSM orgmates celebrating with our bar bets, Rania J., Carol C., Joe A., and Gino C.

after four years of scrambling the brains, we all deserve a BIG SMILE!

five generations of leadership...our presidents, circa 2005-2011

"The richest people in the world build networks. Everyone else is trained to look for work." - Robert Kiyosaki

_________________________________________________________

A number of people asked me why despite the many controversies hounding the network marketing industry, still I opted to join and do business this way. I know for a fact that even before a single word would come out from my mouth on the pros of the industry, many would have shut their ears and brand me as "crazy!". And willing and able as I may be to stage a national debate on the matter, I also know for a fact that I have yet to become my own testimonial before I can validly and legitimately call for a following. So, in the meantime, I will let my mentor do the talking for me!

Read this book and after you've made realizations, give me your thoughts on the subject. Who knows we might even end up building empires together?! (^_^)

A beer is all it takes...

to relive memories...

...and make new ones.

It's been millions of years since my kababata and I were able to chill out. I'm glad that despite our busy schedules we were able to make time for each other like how we used to. This lass and I go back to diaper days. Although we spend most our lifetime fighting over nonsensical matters, we somehow always end up better friends at the end of the day. I guess, that's what really friends do - argue most of the time...and, in the process, get polished.

We really do deserve a drink every now and then, Megan A.!

The beauty of the end of Chapter 9 was that the main character was able to rediscover his self-worth and self-respect.

And, in the process, he learned how to forgive...

Let this day be remembered as THE DAY A MIRACLE HAPPENED!

The universe planted a dream in my heart for a purpose. At this point, my resumé may not speak of excellence. But I know, someday, when I realized my dreams, I shall be more than the most brilliant lawyer in this land. The forest, the rivers, the sky, and all things beautiful shall sing my name.

The journey continues...

"The HEART is the reason for LEAVING. It is also the reason for STAYING..." - Austin O.

A reunion with my life couch is always priceless...

Ate Agnes and Arianne both just came home from Singapore and Japan, respectively, and will be staying just for a few days here. I haven't seen Arianne since college and Ate Agnes, well, since she had left to heal her broken heart. Amazingly, her latest "exercise in taking risks" with love has proven to be quite a success. Although there are still doubts inside her, still as Ate Sofie said, Ate Agnes is indeed now ready to JUMP!!!

As for Arianne, you'll be amazed by her transformation. Her not-so-oh broken heart has made her evolve into a strong-willed lady. Her perspective and aura is undeniably captivating. For he who shall capture her heart someday, be ready with your PhD!!! This girl knows what she wants and will not waste time with just anyone...

This man is down...

I can't tell you how exciting playing airsoft is unless you play it yourself. The excitement, the thrill, the sweat, the thirst, the energy gone...haven't felt all these since high school.

I take so much pride in the changing landscape of Partido. People's interests are changing. People are coming together. People are finding the old kid inside them. Horizons are widening. Good thing I accepted Kuya Clarson's invitation to join them.

Thank you Kuya and Ate Lai!!! I'll start buying my gears now. ^^

Reading this book was LIBERATING...

Sullivan's Island makes me wish I've read the book when I was twelve. It might have influenced my perspective on making good memories and enjoying life as it unfolds. Probably, I would have made crazier, more beautiful memories at that stage of our lives when everything we experience was new and we all do not know what to do or react to things... Probably, I would have embraced changes with glee, excitement, and greater courage... Probably, I would have learned to nurture the attitude of boldly taking risks and making mistakes... Probably, I would have learned how to laugh despite the adversities I face... Probably, I would have accepted realities without so much pain... Probably, I would have learned all of these earlier in life... OR probably, I would have not related much as my own life was not backed by solid personal experiences yet.

A RICH READ

The book was written with so much wit and humor that I have allowed myself to be carried away by its characters. Somehow, I have made myself step into their shoes that I could almost relate to their experiences as if they were my own and Sullivan's Island was indeed my very own home, too. The story seemed so real that I felt I was actually reading someone else's journal.

A TREAT FOR THE HEART

Dorothea Benton Frank has made an extra special ending with her book. It was full of hope and everything I wished for its ending. At a time when I feel my heart wheezing again, I'll gladly turn its pages once more...

Author:Mitch Albom
We all come to a point in our lives when we seek meaning to our existence. We try to find explanations to events that transpire and to people we cross path with. Like Eddie in Mitch Albom's "The Five People You Meet in Heaven", we sometimes find ourselves wounded living, to our mind, an uninspired life. We live each day in routine. Our existence from our point of view is meaningless. BUT that is until one day we wake up in the afterlife and our lives are explained to us by five people.

WE GROW UP. WE LOVE. WE AGE. WE DIE.

True, each human follows the same cycle. We Grow up. We Love. We Age. We Die. But not everyone makes the most out of our lives. We are all Eddie's in our respective ways. We let life pass us by. We let our dreams die. And we blame others and circumstances for our misfortunes. Then we grow tired and just accept things as they are. "The Five People You Meet in Heaven", however, teaches us that life shouldn't be this way.

OUR LIVES ARE INTERTWINED

The first person Eddie meets in Heaven leaves us with a proverbial lesson, our lives are intertwined. Seldom we take others into consideration. We do things which hurt others although it may not have been our intention to do so. We live an apathetic life and in the process forget to account for our actions. As a result, we step into other people's shoes without us even knowing it. Most of the time, we realize all these when it's already too late.

SOME DIES FOR US TO LIVE

Our life is a gift. Some dies for us to live, to grow up, to love, to dream. But most of the time we ignore those who did die for us and the greater purpose behind their sacrifice. The second person Eddie meets in Heaven reminds us not to waste our precious gift. The way to live our life is to live it intensely then.

THE INVISIBLE IS FAR BROADER THAN WHAT WE SEE

Eddie and his father were never in good terms. To Eddie's mind his father is the reason for his situation. The third person he meets in heaven teaches him that the invisible is far broader than what he sees. Our judgment is defined by what is visible to us. Often we judge people by what we see. We ignore the unspoken, the unseen, the unheard...Our perception is blurred by how we react to situations. In the end, like Eddie, we realize it is us who is wrong.

LIFE IS ABOUT MAKING MEMORIES. GOOD MEMORIES.

The fourth person Eddie meets in heaven is his wife, Marguerite. She died ahead of him when she was 47. Eddie continued to live until he was 83. He went to war even before the two of them could relish their romance and celebrate their love. When he returned from war, he was already a changed man. War has made him a hopeless and bitter man. Now, in heaven, they relive their lost times. But it took them to die and meet again in heaven before they could create good moments. Life is about making memories, good memories.

NO LIFE IS WORTHLESS!

The fifth person Eddie meets in heaven is a young Filipina girl. The reason why I read Mitch Albom's book in the first place. She brings with her the realization that Eddie played an important role in his lifetime like everyone else. Although he found no meaning in what he does, what he does exactly is what gave life to everyone else around him. He kept them safe until the last moment of his life. No life is worthless!
